Where It All Began

All About You Day Spa, LLC was founded in 2003 by Liz Murchand. Back then, it was the only spa in Pagosa Springs outside the hot springs resorts. We noticed how people light up when they talk about Liz, making it clear that she was a well-loved person in the community. Her creation lives on. 

Now under new ownership. The owner of Embodiwork Studio for Integrative Massage, Shalene Maestas-Zarate, brings 25 years of private practice experience to the helm. In her early years, she built a wellness center from scratch, flew solo, rebranded, and expanded it into a small massage center before eventually landing in Pagosa Springs. When the opportunity to purchase All About You came along, she decided to take it — this time, not from scratch. The timing felt right and a little more than coincidental to be the 7th owner, just as Shalene begins her 7th year living and working in southwest Colorado. This! Coming from a person who once swore she'd never work in a spa or live in a tourist town.

A Fresh Chapter

With the help of her family and friends, Shalene transformed the space with a fresh new look, an updated service menu, and a renewed focus on the meaning behind its name. The name "All About You" wasn't one Shalene would have chosen herself — but over time, it grew on her because her client-centered approach reflects that spirit: creating a therapeutic environment where every client feels valued and cared for, never just a number. An experience that is truly all about you.

The Team Behind the Experience

Sarah Kirschstein has been a trusted part of All About You through several owners, offering skincare services and natural manicures and pedicures. April serves as our Administrative Assistant during the week and just had her Esthetician License transferred to Colorado, so while she’s helped us whip the place into shape, she will soon be offering skin care services as well.
